The Pursuit OF Happyness

Audiences now know it as an award-winning film.  At the time, the name of Will Smith’s personal labor of love drew blank stares.  And wasn’t that a typo in the title? With less than 48-hours notice, Lovell-Fairchild Communications tapped its grassroots databank (Dallas column) to fill Northpark’s largest theater for a screening event of THE PURSUIT OF HAPPYNESS that Will Smith himself showed up to help pump.  Both movie and the after-movie presentation sent crowds home happy.
